PREMISE
Since the formation of the earth, volcanic calderas have existed as places of tremendous power, changing landscapes and climate with their eruptions of fire and ash, but destruction isn’t all that they're capable of. Calderas are also founts of life, containing within them all the great magics that pulse across the world.

For millennia, the caldera in the heart of present day Yellowstone National Park was no different than any other area of power, but in the 1800s, all of that changed. A group of cultists, obsessed with the power of the caldera, attempted to harness it for their own gains. Their ritual was ultimately unsuccessful, but caused something inside to warp and fracture. The Yellowstone caldera began to belch out a twisted, corrupted power that manifested into physical abominations of magic that terrorized the surrounding countryside.

As casualties mounted, a group of 7 powerful witches known as the Craftsmen were called upon to seal the Caldera, binding its power to the Roosevelt Arch.

Now, in 2022, the seal and the caldera's twisted magic are dim memories lost to time, but as time passes, the magical seal is beginning to fail and peculiar things have begun to occur once more in Vigil, MT.

  3. A public event in the form of an IC/OOC post of your creation

All characters must present one (1) piece of activity at time of check.

DEWS and Craftsmen must present two (2) pieces of activity at time of check.
Should you include activity above that of the minimum required, your character can be made eligible for promotions or plot incentives in the game going forward.
