D.E.W.S.
OVERVIEW The Department of Environmental and Wilderness Stewardship (DEWS) was founded in 1916 in tandem with the National Park Service. DEWS was created to erradicate the remaining cryptids created by the corrupted caldera both before and after the Seal was put in place.

After the final cryptid sighting in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem had been dealt with, all records of the department's original purpose were sealed. The department was downsized and repurposed into an organization dedicated to conservation and protection of both YNP assets as well as visitor safety. At the start of the game all employees, both leadership and non-leadership, will be ignorant of DEWS origins.

DEWS is currently run by TBA.
  • DEWS employees must provide 2 pieces of activity per month.
  • DEWS members can and will be recruited in game.
  • DEWS does work with civilian volunteers in its Search & Rescue force.

OBJECTIVES • Provide for the health and safety of visitors. This includes emergency medical services, search and rescue, and emergency telephone stations.

• Maintain safety-related infrastructure in and around Yellowstone Park. (ie: guard rails)

• Protect both the populace and caldera from cryptids, magical mischief, and supernatural mayhem

• Maintain a Search & Rescue force

• Find and employ The Craftsmen to renew the seal on the Roosevelt Arch
Career Openings Supervisor, DEWS [0/1]
DESCRIPTION The supervisor oversees a variety of visitor services and public safety, including rules education, park safety patrols, educational programming (natural and cultural history, outdoor recreation), first aid response, and generally helps visitors find meaning in the natural and cultural resources. Additional duties may include crowd and vehicle control, fire suppression, search and rescue, developing displays and brochures, and assisting with basic maintenance. The supervisor oversees all duties in their purview, and leads the general team to ensure the wellbeing of the park and the wellbeing of the public.
Ranger [0/?]
DESCRIPTION The Ranger helps execute the supervisor's plans to ensure an excellent visitor experience and to manage public safety. The Ranger is the Supervisor's right hand in executing critical strategy, and is often the public face of DEWS.
Search and Rescue Manager [0/1]
DESCRIPTION The Search and Rescue Manager primarily coordinates search and rescue events with the supervisor and ranger, providing overall wilderness expertise including backcountry navigation and wilderness first aid. The SARM is in charge of directing the search and rescue technical specialists, and will work closely with dispatch to bring in additional assistance (such as air rescue) if necessary.
Search and Rescue Technical Specialists [0/x]
DESCRIPTION The Search and Rescue Technical Specialists are the frontpeople in a crisis. Often the first on scene, the Specialists focus on extracting individuals from challenging situations, such as mountain rescue, structural collapse, and swiftwater. They have extensive backcountry and wilderness first aid experience.
Technician [0/x]
DESCRIPTION The Technician keeps the DEWS team running! They have an arsenal of maintenance and rescue equipment under their responsibility, ranging from trucks and atvs to rescue gear for the search and rescue team. The Technician is also responsible for basic park maintenance, and has a dedicated team to help them in restoring park infrastructure.
Dispatch [0/x]
DESCRIPTION Dispatch is a critical role on the dews team, coordinating the team to urgent actions within the park. Dispatch is the eyes and ears, and will handle both civilian calls for concern as well as general information necessary for the DEWS team.


The Craftsmen
OVERVIEW The Craftsmen were a group of seven powerful witches that placed the original Seal on the Yellowstone Caldera in 1903. The Craftsmen used their combined experience and skill to weave powerful magic into the Roosevelt Arch, sealing the power of the Caldera away. Now the Seal is breaking and The Craftsmen are needed once again, but their return doesn't look like you may expect.

In Caldera, 7 people from various backgrounds will become the new Craftsmen, gaining their previous counterpart's memories and abilities via whatever method you choose!

Please comment the mod dropbox with your Craftsman pitch if interested. Each member of the Craftsmen will have a unique magical specialty, earning them their title (ie: The Alchemist - potions).
